The Prestige Door Series: A Stylish Twist on Classic Cabinetry

Custom Cabinetry Cabinets Cabinet Refacing

If you’ve been keeping up with our blog page, than you may have already read about how laminate cabinet doors can prove to be the better choice over traditional wood cabinet doors. Here’s a brief recap: laminate is more durable than wood, it’s easier to clean and it will cost you less to replace or reface your existing cabinetry with laminate than it might with wood cabinetry.

But let’s face it—quality and price are not the only two pieces of criteria you check off when it comes to remodeling your home. The 2013 Houzz and Home Study recently asked thousands of homeowners why they are renovating their homes, and 83% stated that they are renovating to improve the look and feel of their home. So while durability and the cost of a product are important, homeowners are keen to style. After all, you wouldn’t want to remodel your home without considering the design of the space, would you?

The Prestige laminate cabinet door collection offers all three important standards for replacing or refacing your cabinetry. It’s durable; it’s cheaper than wood; it’s one of the most popular styles of cabinetry available on the market today. But what is it that makes the Prestige door series so popular?

Prestige style doors have a classic and plain base design with a raised or inset pattern within the center of the door. Its simple but varied style makes the Prestige door a perfect fit for any size or style kitchen, and different door styles can be paired for a custom kitchen design. Today, I’ll show you the five door styles in the Prestige Door Series, in five different colors, and you can decide for yourself just why they’re flying off the shelves.

Prestige Plain

The Prestige Plain style is just what it says: it’s plain. But that’s not a bad thing; more and more we see frameless cabinets popping up in modern kitchen designs. If you’re looking to reface your cabinetry, and want a more modern look, the Prestige Plain style is perfect. This cabinet door is in Tropical Mahogany.

Prestige Shaker Plain

Not to be confused with the Prestige Plain, the Prestige Shaker Plain is only slightly different from Plain. This style is great for another modern kitchen design, and looks best in smaller kitchens with lighter cabinet colors. This cabinet door is in Dark Wild Apple.

Prestige Square

The Prestige Square style tends to be the most popular among homeowners looking for a classic cabinet door style. This cabinet door is in Linen, but it looks great in any color.

Prestige Cathedral

This just happens to be my favorite cabinet door style. I love it for a country style kitchen design. This cabinet door is in Winter White.

Prestige Roman Arch

The Prestige Roman Arch is inset like the Prestige Cathedral, but this cabinet door style has a more rounded top. I’ve seen this style look great in both small and large kitchens and really stand out in the darker Cherry-based colors. This cabinet door is in Cherry Pear.
