At Kitchen Magic, being a pet lover is part of the job! November 1st is National Cook For Your Dog Day, and we thought we'd celebrate by sharing this super simple Pumpkin dog treat recipe to go perfect with that Fall feeling! Keep scrolling to get the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup pumpkin
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of xylitol-free peanut butter
- Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Organic Peanut Butter
- Trader Joe's Peanut Butter (no salt)
- Teddie Super Chunky Peanut Butter
- 2.5-4 cups of oat/wheat flour
- .5 teaspoon of cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
- In a mixing bowl, blend together pumpkin, eggs, and peanut butter until smooth.
- Gradually fold in 2.5 cups of flour and add a dash of cinnamon.
- Continue adding small amount of flour until the dough is firm and no longer sticky.
- Roll the dough out to a thickness of about a quarter to a half inch.
- Use a cute pet themed cookie cutter to shape the dough or cut them into circles and use your fingers to make a "paw print".
- Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes, or until your treats are crisp and golden.
- MOST IMPORTANT: Tell your pet how good they are, scratch their belly, and let them taste test their homemade treats! 🐾🐶🐱
