Clean Your Kitchen With Vinegar

Ordinary white distilled vinegar can help keep your kitchen looking new and smelling great. Many homemakers swear by it.

A cloth soaked in white vinegar will deodorize and clean your countertops without harming the surface.

A microwave oven can be easily cleaned by putting ½ cup of water and ½ cup white vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl. Bring it to a rolling boil in the microwave, and baked on food will be loosened and odors will disappear. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge.

A half-and half solution of white vinegar and water also makes a great refrigerator cleaner. Full strength vinegar will cut the grime on top of a refrigerator and also remove the smell of any spoiled food.

Once a month, put a cup of white vinegar in your dishwasher and run it through a full cycle while it’s empty. It removes soap buildup and odors.

Clean and deodorize a drain by pouring a cup of baking soda down it, followed by a cup of hot white vinegar.

To clean and deodorize a garbage disposal, freeze white vinegar in an ice cube tray, then grind the cubes in the disposer while flushing with cold water.
