When Mr. & Mrs. Ed K. of Rumson, NJ wanted to change their drab and cramped kitchen for a room with more style and zest, they reached out to Kitchen Magic.

We refaced their cabinets with our Yardley door and drawer style in nutmeg brown glazed maple, and replaced their white square countertops with beautiful new countertops  with an ogee edge in DuPont Corian Rice Paper color.

Made of acrylic, Corian is an ideal countertop material. It is non-porous, and prevents the growth of mold and mildew. Corian is also stain-resistant, and heat resistant. It’s easy to clean and maintain, with a smooth seamless appearance that doesn’t catch dirt. And because it’s solid color all the way through, scuffs and dings can be easily repaired.

Rice Paper is part of the Terra Collection of Corian colors, which is made of up to 20% pre-consumer recycled content. It contributes to sustainable design, and is Greenguard certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. It adds visual interest, since it is a yellow-based off-white that is the color of rich butter cream, in a smooth matrix with randomly spaced translucent particles and small tone-on-tone particles.
