In the midst of our busy worlds many of us would love to know how much a product or service costs instead of driving to a store or allowing an estimator to visit our home. Certainly we should be able to get a price over the phone if all we really want is a rough idea of how much something typically runs, right? As much as we would love to, it just isn't that easy to give a price for a cabinet reface or kitchen remodel over the phone. Because of the intricacies involved with each individual kitchen, what we usually prefer to do is offer relative pricing. In other words, we like to compare the price to something else of which you may already be familiar. For example, one of our favorite things to say is that cabinet refacing costs about half of what you would expect to pay for all new quality cabinetry. So if you have a somewhat vague idea of what quality kitchen cabinets would cost for your kitchen, you now have a taste of what refacing should cost.
Please allow us to clarify. When we say half the cost of custom cabinetry, we are referring to truly custom made cabinets. We are not talking about stock cabinets you will find on display at your local home center or cheap kitchen cabinets made out of particle board. This is because at Kitchen Magic, we don't have a warehouse (or particle board). Each and every one of our kitchens is custom built to each customer's needs. We do not try to force your kitchen to conform to pre-fabricated cabinets that will lose their luster after a month or two. That would not be fair to you or to your kitchen. A: Yes and no. Yes, in the sense that you can get really cheap kitchen cabinets churned out by a big factory somewhere, but no, in the sense that those prices don't mean you're getting a kitchen done economically.
