You woke up New Year's day and crept into the kitchen for a few moments alone before the New Year's Day festivities began. All of a sudden, it dawned on you; the last time you remodeled your kitchen was 1993. In many ways it seems like "just yesterday," but in reality, it's been two decades - twenty years since your kitchen got an update. All of a sudden your "lose weight" and "gossip less" New Year's Resolutions take a back burner because "Remodel the Kitchen" has just make it to the Number 1 spot.
In that case, you need some serious information about great ways to update your kitchen cabinets and bring your kitchen design with you into the new year - or at least the current decade.
Three Great Kitchen Cabinet Upgrades - There's One for Every Budget!
Pre-Made Cabinets. Before you roll your eyes and skip to Number 2 - our pre-made cabinets are pretty special. For one, they're made in the USA. Kitchen Magic has always advertised our cabinet refacing (more on that later) as an affordable way to update your cabinets. But sometimes their cabinets are so damaged they can't be refaced - think Superstorm Sandy or other victims of water/fire damage. Other times, our clients' budgets can't accommodate a full set of custom made cabinets.
We don't want any customer to lose sight of their remodeling dreams so we put our heads together and came up with a way to get even more affordable high-quality kitchen cabinets into our customers' kitchens. Our Value Cabinetry line boasts:
High-quality construction frames and shelving
Full-access to soft-close guides and hinges
A five-year warranty
Cabinets made in Pennsylvania, USA using eco-friendly production practices.
We're excited about our new Value Cabinetry Line and we think our customers will be too!
Refacing Kitchen Cabinets. If your cabinet budget can accommodate more than our pre-made cabinet line but you're concerned custom cabinetry might be over-the-top, refacing will be right up your alley. Cabinet refacing is one of the best ways to transform your kitchen without having to tear-out or replace the functional cabinetry you have. You would be amazed at the difference between old cabinets and the same cabinets "refaced". Click Here to see one of our favorite examples.
Advantages to cabinet refacing include:
The ability to completely change the look of your cabinets while leaving the "skeleton" intact
Saving our landfills from tons of wasted materials - cabinet refacing is one of the most eco-friendly choices you can make
Re-thinking your cabinets' functions and updating to custom features such as lazy susans, undercover slide-out trash cans, organized drawer spaces, etc.
Before you decide to build all new cabinets, we can visit your home to discuss your needs/wants - you may find you can have the exact cabinets you want by refacing - and could save thousands of dollars to put elsewhere.
Custom Kitchen Cabinets. This is the Big Kahuna of kitchen cabinet remodeling. Your budget is less of an issue because you use your kitchen religiously and are finally ready to have the kitchen you have always dreamed about. You know exactly what you want - or are ready to speak with our design team to figure it out - and need custom storage, shelving, nook-space, an island, and/or wine storage, etc.
When you use Kitchen Magic, your cabinets will be made exactly as you order them, right here in our own shop by some of the most skilled wood craftsmen in the industry. The cabinet world is your oyster and we promise to deliver - including a lifetime of homeownership warranty.
So what are you waiting for? Come on in to Kitchen Magic and put your newfound knowledge to use.
In the midst of our busy worlds many of us would love to know how much a product or service costs instead of driving to a store or allowing an estimator to visit our home. Certainly we should be able to get a price over the phone if all we really want is a rough idea of how much something typically runs, right? As much as we would love to, it just isn't that easy to give a price for a cabinet reface or kitchen remodel over the phone. Because of the intricacies involved with each individual kitchen, what we usually prefer to do is offer relative pricing. In other words, we like to compare the price to something else of which you may already be familiar. For example, one of our favorite things to say is that cabinet refacing costs about half of what you would expect to pay for all new quality cabinetry. So if you have a somewhat vague idea of what quality kitchen cabinets would cost for your kitchen, you now have a taste of what refacing should cost.
Please allow us to clarify. When we say half the cost of custom cabinetry, we are referring to truly custom made cabinets. We are not talking about stock cabinets you will find on display at your local home center or cheap kitchen cabinets made out of particle board. This is because at Kitchen Magic, we don't have a warehouse (or particle board). Each and every one of our kitchens is custom built to each customer's needs. We do not try to force your kitchen to conform to pre-fabricated cabinets that will lose their luster after a month or two. That would not be fair to you or to your kitchen. We build cabinets specifically for your unique kitchen.
Should you happen to have cabinets that perfectly fit your kitchen already, this is where refacing can save you a lot of money. In fact, this is when it would likely save you half the cost of new. Nevertheless, we still do not sacrifice on quality. Just as we provide custom cabinets uniquely designed to meet the demands of your kitchen's existing demensions, we provide custom refacing too. Each refacing project is customized to perfectly fit your existing kitchen configuration. We leave the color choice, door style, and hardware and hinge selections to you. With cabinet refacing, we can even convert your existing kitchen cabinet doors to new drawer space! This means that cabinet refacing virtually gives you the same flexibility you would expect to get from all new custom designed kitchen cabinets, but once again, at about half the cost.
Q: I keep seeing ads in magazines and newspapers for cheap kitchen cabinets, 50% off, more than half off, etc. Are those really the bargains they seem to be?
Cheap Kitchen Cabinets
A: Yes and no. Yes, in the sense that you can get really cheap kitchen cabinets churned out by a big factory somewhere, but no, in the sense that those prices don't mean you're getting a kitchen done economically.
Often, when you see those prices, you will be required to pick up those cabinets from the store and take them home yourself. You may get three cabinets at that price that were manufactured three days, weeks or even three months apart, or at three different factories owned by the same company, with slight variations in the finish that become very obvious when they're put side by side on a wall in your home.
And of course, at that price, you will be required to tear out the existing cabinets and haul them away, install the new cabinets, and solve any problems that come up during the process. The store that sells them will not stand behind the finished project. In the end, buying heavily discounted kitchen cabinets may end up costing you a lot more than you think.
Contrast that with a Kitchen Magic kitchen. We show you the styles and colors available in the comfort of your own home, at a time that's convenient for you. We design a room that fits your lifestyle and needs. We quote you a price for kitchen cabinets that we stand behind; there's never a surprise or an upcharge. We manufacture the cabinets ourselves in a single batch at our state of the art facility. (And if you are happy with your current layout, we can reface your existing cabinets at a more affordable price.)
We tear out and haul away the existing cabinets, deliver and install the new ones with our own certified staff, clean up afterwards, and stand behind out job with a Lifetime of Home Ownership Warranty.
The result is the kitchen of your dreams, delivered at an affordable price and a minimum of hassle. Why not give us a call today at 1-855-5REFACE? You'll be glad you did.
